Guest Heart Thursday #16

I remember when Cheryl over at Nostalgia: Today and Yesterday found this frozen heart so long ago.
I hadn't known her very long ...
My first follower, other than Sissie Beth, of course.

Cheryl - You have given me such joy - traveling with you to places I have never been, driving on roads I will probably never travel myself. And enjoying every minute of each journey!

Thank you.

And look at the heart Susannah, er, Wanderin' Weeta - found when she took a delightful series of a chickadee family taking a bath!

Susannah, from British Columbia, Canada, is amazing. She finds nature's tiniest treasures - and makes them bold and beautiful - so the rest of us can learn to look down and marvel.

Thank you, Susannah!

And if you're lovin' on Florida ... look no further than Pam's wonderful Southern Journeys.
Pam's gentle and kind character are so very evident in her posts, and in her sweet comments.

I think even the ocean loves her - after all, it gave her this beautiful emerald green heart!!!

Thank you, Pam!

If you haven't been over to Tracy's wonderful blog Hey Harriet, then you probably don't know that she hosts Shadow Shot Sunday. This is where we share the shadows we have found during the week ... and WOW, there are some amazing ones out in the world!

In between times, Tracy treats us to wonderful views and insights into life in Australia.

I couldn't help but notice this heart and beautiful message that Tracy found last week at The Bicycle Revolution - where she also found her amazing shadow shots for the week!

Thank you, Tracy, not only for Shadow Shot Sunday, which changes the way we see the world, but for finding the beauty of the heart.

Thank you, Tracy!

Jill has to be one of the luckiest people on the face of the planet.
Her office has the best views.
She is doing what she loves, and she loves what she's doing.
And she gets to take her husband Zac with her!

Jill is a 'nomadic field biologist', who delights us with her blog Count your Chicken! We're Taking over!

Thank you, Jill! This is one of the most adorable hearts I've seen!

A huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the awesome hearts you found!

Agate Heart

I am in the process of cleaning out and moving my rock garden.
The old site was under a beautiful tree -
A beautiful but oh so messy tree!
My rocks were being buried despite being cleaned out twice a year!

So I am moving the garden.
I will leave the tree to be beautiful -
And maybe now I will enjoy it's bounteous leaves and berries!

But it is a lot of work.
I have to pick up each rock, put it into a bucket, and lug the full bucket across the property to the new garden site.

A lot of work, but worth it - especially when I keep finding hearts I never knew I had!
Like this agate.
Heart.

Chewed Leaf Heart

It was a perfect day for a walk ... not too hot, the sky a deep blue.
The insects were busy this beautiful day ...
But not too busy to make a heart!!!

Lichen Heart

Our warm wet spring yielded a bumper crop of mosses and lichen this year.
Our hot dry summer is loosening them from the trees ... there are bits and pieces of lichen all over the woods.

These 2 different lichen - have grown and fallen together to form a heart!

Butter Heart on Pancakes

Mom was just about to pour syrup (sugar free, of course!) onto her pancakes when I spied this buttery heart.

Poor mom. She had to wait until I found my camera - and got the shot - before she could eat!

A special THANK YOU to all who have linked up to Guest Heart Thursday. It has been my honor and privilege to see the hearts YOU have found in your world! I hope you all had the opportunity to visit those who linked their hearts this week - they are spectacular!!!

I wish for you a wonderful, heart-filled weekend.

Guest Heart Thursday #15

Costas of Nature Digital is out of town for a couple of weeks.
Therefore, I am using one of his pictures, um, without his written permission. Shhhh!
Sorry Costas ... I sincerely hope you don't mind! You see, a beautiful collared dove
made a nest just outside his window. We have followed with him the miracle of
their lives so far. His most recent post showed these adorable little birds -
One of which has a heart on it's back!

If you haven't checked out Nature Digital,
you are missing out on some of the best photography in the world.
Costas lives in Greece, and shares his travels around his country.
At first glance, you see beautiful photos.

You must click on each and every photo to enlarge ...
What you will find is ... MAGIC!!!!!

Beth's blog Unexpected Spots of Beauty is truly a joy.
She sees the world a little differently - sort of like the rest of us heart finders!
For example, she found this beautiful heart in a piece of driftwood ... most people would have just walked on by!

Dani is an amazing person - warm, kind and generous.
She also sees the world a little differently ...
I think she fits right in!
I mean ... how many people would find the heart
in the torn blanket - even when it was hanging right in front of them???

Thank you so much Dani, you make my world a brighter place!
You can share in Dani's world by visiting her blog, Snow Flowers.

I met Maria last week when she submitted this beautiful Pansie heart.
Her blog, Little Things Photoblogatory, is delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed visiting!
Thank you, Maria!

My friend and adopted sister, Grannie Annie (AKA Sissie-Dea), is an amazing artist.
She has been creating collages for some time now (check them out at her blog - Ann Noir) ...
and each one steals my heart!
That's why I just HAD to steal her heart to show to the world!

I love you, Sissie-Dea! My sister-of-different-parents!
I'm so honored and blessed to have met you and gotten to know you through blogging!
You are indeed a treasure of MY HEART.

Yarrow Heart

Yarrow, Achillea millefolium, is a very aromatic herb.
It is widely respected for it's medicinal qualities.

To me, it's a beautiful heart!

Deadheading flowers can be a chore - unless you find a heart!
That's what Squirrel Queen found - when she posted this
beautiful broken heart on her blog Through Squirrel Eyes.

I found out a few things about this delightful blogger ... she has a
second blog - The Road To Here that you really should check out ...
And best of all, she loves my favorite author of all time - DEAN KOONTZ!!!

Beth, over at Expect the Unexpected is my best friend.
She is also my sister.
Seriously, same mother and father and all!
We were walking at the abandoned church when she found
this gorgeous thimbleberry heart.

Cheryl over at Nostalgia: Today and Yesterday found these
gorgeous red hearts.

When I looked closer, I found hearts within hearts.
A perfect find!

Thank you Cheryl - you have been an inspiration to me!

And look at the gorgeous yellow hearts found by Dani over at Snow Flowers.

I am constantly amazed by Dani's eye for finding unexpected
beauty in the world.

Thank you, my friend!

There is beauty in this rose that Halcyon at Jackson Daily Photo found in
Berlin. And I'm not just talking about the gorgeous red heart.

You see, Halcyon knows that this heart is love - sent to her from her
wonderful Mother-in-Law - who is going through rough times right now.

I got tears in my eyes as I read her message.
It's not every day you find a HEART with HEART!

Thank you to all heart seekers out there.
May you find some today!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #13

Sunny at Barnyards and Barnacles takes the most adorable pictures of farm animals you can imagine. So it doesn't surprise me that this adorable sheep was showing off it's new haircut ... complete with HEART!

And who doesn't adore Miss Cindy Lou Who - all curled up in a heart at Squirrel Queen's awesome blog - Through Squirrel Eyes.

Limar, whose fun and interesting blog is called Greetings From My Replicator, found this beautiful and quiet garden spot, with a heart that perfectly matches the beautiful yellow roses!

It would be a wonderful and peaceful place to sit and read a book, I think.

Jennifer loves goats. Her blog, Goats in the Garden is delightful!
She sent me a picture of this adorable goat ... SPF Chance’s Hopeful Heart. (“Heart” for short).
Isn't he appropriately named???

Dani at Snow Flowers found this beautiful heart in the handle of her cup.
I really like the way she caught the reflection that makes up the smaller half of the heart.
Dani continually amazes me with her eye for beauty, and her fun blog.

Thank you all!

Morning Glory Heart

After a wonderful 4th of July spent with sissie in Independence ...
We took advantage of the quiet to take a short walk.

I had not seen these morning glories in this part of the woods before, so we stopped to get some pictures.

And look what we found - Inside each of the beautiful white flowers ...
Was a heart!

Tennis Shoe Hearts

I looked for hearts last weekend while at sissie's yard sale.
Little did I know ...
They were all around me, and right in front of me!

Do you see the hearts on this shoe? I see four of them!

(Be sure to visit this week's Guest Heart Thursday post.
I have added some featured hearts, in case you missed them - I had computer issues, which are now fixed - thank you Bro!)

Guest Heart Thursday #12

I'm not sure where she found it, but the beautiful and wonderful Jann, finder of ALL things interesting online, found this adorable heart sign!!! Visit Jann at her blog, Bouquet of Tulle Roses, and you will be glad you did!

Thank you, Jann!

To see this absolutely tiny and amazing heart, you need to click on the picture to enlarge. This beautiful caterpillar had just hatched from an egg on the underside of this plant.

The hole it emerged from is an absolutely perfect heart.

Thank you Woody, over at Photoblog of Wayne Woodruff, for finding this miracle, and for sharing it.

Bhavesh Chhatbar takes some of the most interesting and beautiful photos of India. Some of them he sets up for people to use as computer wallpapers!

He found these gorgeous heart leaves, and his wife suggested he post them.
Now that's my kind of lady!

And look what Lois over at Tallahassee Daily Photo found - a fountain - spilling out a delicate water heart.

It's beautiful, Lois! I have the urge to touch it and feel this heart flow around my fingers.

Misfit in Paradise posted this amazing 'prickly' heart.

Misfit? No.
Paradise -- YES!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

(My wonderful sister Beth created some beautful badges for GHT! Didn't she do a good job?
I will be using a different one each week. Feel free to grab your favorite!
Thank you sissie!!!)

Thank you all for your patience during my computer's illness.
All is fixed, and Guest Heart Thursday is back on track!
