Guest Heart Thursday #207

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

Lois is one of the first people I met when I started blogging so long ago. She taught me a lot! She took a break for a while, and I missed her so much ...
But she's back now, giving me my sunshine fix on her blog, "Tallahassee Daily Photo".

I don't think Lois realized, when she posted this shot, that she captured a bunch of stylish hearts in the bed frame!

Thank you, Lois, for sharing your heart!

I was watching a travel show on PBS earlier this week when I heard the host say he was featuring Lisbon.
As I watched the show, I couldn't help but compare his "tourist" Lisbon with the Lisbon I've come to love through the camera of JM. In short ... there was no comparison. The touristy show fell flat.

JM captures Lisbon and more on his blog, "Lisbon and the Sunny Coast".

And sometimes he captures hearts. Like the ones on this tree ...

Thank you, JM, for sharing the REAL Lisbon ... and for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who found hearts last week. I can't wait for you to link up today ... and show everyone the amazing hearts you found in your world this week!!!

Heart ... With Shadows

My daughter is all grown up now ...

A bittersweet moment came when I disassembled her childhood bed ...
The old one was particle board. When I pulled it apart, the clips pulled out, leaving wood chips and splinters everywhere.
That was the bitter part.
The sweet came later. When I found the heart.
Framed by springtime shadows.

A Heart For Alan and Beth

Because my camera was not cooperating with macros, Beth lent me her old one for a time (her sweetie Alan too, since it was now his!). I couldn't wait to start capturing the world close up again!

The first thing I did was go outside.

The wild cherry trees were in full and glorious bloom.
The sun was shining after weeks of wet.

When I got back inside, I found these two little sun reflection hearts on one of the first pictures I took. They didn't appear on any of the other shots!!!

Alan called the other day ...
He and Beth decided that I should keep the little camera.

Somehow I think the camera already knew!!!

Cherry Blossom Heart

The cherry blossoms are gone now ... blown down in the wind and rain.

But before they faded completely ... they left me a heart!

Guest Heart Thursday #206

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I love it when hearts show up in unexpected places.
This one came in the mail from our power company!

Thank you, PGE, for sharing your heart!

When we were kids, we used to find these doodles all over ...
Whenever mom was on the phone, pen or pencil in hand, she doodled a heart with a "41" inside. When we asked her why, she always quipped "Well, something special is going to happen on my 41st birthday".

Time passed, and the special day arrived.

Turns out that was the day our local Mt. St. Helens exploded in a gigantic eruption in 1980!

The other day, mom was again doodling while talking on the phone.
After she hung up, she realized what she had drawn - something she hadn't done since 1980 ...

I understand the shock on her face ...
After all, how do you top an exploding mountain???

Thank you, mom, for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who found hearts last week. I can't wait for you to link up today ... and show everyone the amazing hearts you found in your world this week!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #205

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Hearts!

I was watching the news earlier this week when NASA released footage of a huge solar flare. Something caught my eye ... and I went online to see the entire footage of this event. Did I really see what I thought I saw???

What I found was out of this world!!!

A gorgeous and amazing solar heart!

To the right of the solar flare itself ...

It's more visible in this shot ...

Still slightly visible here ...

A little closer view.
Do you see it now?

Thank you, NASA, for sharing this beautiful solar heart!

Guest Heart Thursday #204

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

This is a special family edition of GHT ...

I love mom's garden ... she uses the most unusual items for accents!

Like this broken bench piece ... a heart!

Thank you, mom, for sharing your heart!

I found this unusual heart in Dad's treasure box.
It's an old deer bone - shaped like a heart!
(I miss you, Dad ... it meant so much to find this!)

Thank you, Dad, for sharing your heart!

My daughter was replacing her old pressed board bed frame.
One of the fasteners ripped out as we maneuvered it outside to be cut up.
And gave us a heart ... and a few shadows as well!

Thank you, Geo, for sharing your heart!
