Someone managed to climb onto the roof ...

And leave their heart.

Heart - Scratched in Concrete

Heavy machinery
Scraping away the soul of the building ...
Leaves a heart in its place.

A Heavy Heart ...

For Colorado ...

A world's heart united in thoughts and prayers
For grace and healing.
For love and peace.

Guest Heart Thursday #119

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart

I'm not sure why Kate over at "Jupiter Star Power" amazes me so much  ... maybe it's her creativity (she MADE this adorable card set!) ... maybe it's her gorgeous needlework (awesome crochet!) ... maybe it's her generosity (she often crochets for charity!) ... Maybe it's because I have a certain fondness for Sailor Moon ...

Whatever "it" is, Kate, you have IT!

Thank you, Kate, for sharing your heart!

There's just something about hearts drawn in sand that makes me happy.

Irene made me super happy last week - when she posted this wonderful heart drawn in a sand wall - I've never seen a sand heart like this before!!!

If you don't know Irene, you should check out her blog, "Irene Photography".
Irene is an incredible photographer. With a beautiful heart and soul.

Thank you, Irene, for sharing your heart!

I found Snap's blog, "Tales From Twisty Lane" when she linked up with "Postcard Friendship Friday" - and was immediately smitten with her view of life.
And her creativity ... and most especially her sense of humor!!!

Thank you, Snap, for sharing your heart
Thank you, Beth, for hosting PFF!

I couldn't help but notice the hearts Annchen linked to "Weekend Flowers" on her blog, "Annchen live aus meiner kleinen Welt". Bleeding hearts are some of my favorite flowers!

I soon discovered that Annchen is a wonderful photographer ... who loves cats.
Need I say more? She's AWESOME!

Thank you, Annchen, for sharing your heart!
Thank you, Tina, for hosting "Weekend Flowers"!

The incredible beauty of this simple white flower with heart-shaped petals took my breath away ... and it's all Fly's fault!

Fly's blog, "And There Was Light" is a treasury of amazing photography ... and not just nature. Somehow Fly manages to capture emotions that deeply touch my heart and soul.

Thank you, Fly, for sharing your heart.

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!

Thank you, Andee!

I was going back through some of my older posts, looking for a link someone had left me in a comment. That's when I noticed a comment from Andee over at "Match the Pictures" - way back in April - that I had never read!!!
(I'm not sure how that happened ... maybe it was during the time when my computer was giving me grief.)

It seems Andee gave Random Hearts the "Liebster Blog" award!

Liebster translates from German as "Favorite", and the award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.

Thank you so much, Andee - you have certainly made my day!

I have chosen 5 inspirational bloggers to receive this award ... It was hard to narrow down my list ... there are so many places I love to visit ...

Here are the guidelines:

1. Post the award to your blog.
2.  Link back to the blogger who gave you the award.
3.  Give the award to five (5) blogs with fewer than 200 followers.
4.  Leave a comment for each blogger letting them know you have offered them the award.

Here are my nominations:
(in random order!)

Michelle Renee Bernard, "Yesterday's Trash" - who takes everyday "trash" and makes priceless treasures! Michelle inspires me with every post!

Beth, "Expect the Unexpected" - Beth is an incredible artist who finds so much beauty in the world ...

Marge, "Marges8's Blog" - Paper dolls have come a long way since I used to cut them out of catalogs when I was a kid ... and Marge's blog is full of beautiful paper creations that are truly art.

Pam, "Nature Whispers" - When my life is chaotic and I need some gentle breezes in my life, I go here. Pam's world gives me peace.

Susannah, "Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds)" - Susannah's thirst for knowledge of the tiny world around her has truly inspired me. From her I learned to "flip a rock" to see what is underneath ... to focus on the beauty that surrounds us all - in miniature!

I wish I could give an award to all of the wonderful people who have encouraged and inspired me on my blogging journey. I never would have believed I could find so many amazing friends ... so much inspiration ... so much beauty in the world!

A Heart for Inger

When I first met Inger, I was delighted by her photography ... which she posts on her blog, "A Picture in Time".

It turns out that Inger is so much more than a wonderful photographer - she is a kind, warm and loving friend as well.

It broke my heart this morning to learn that Inger's son passed away over the weekend, due to complications from a medical condition.

I can't imagine the agony she is going through.

Geir Espen
born August 24, 1982
died July 14, 2012
He is free now,
and may he rest in peace.

Please keep Inger and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of a son ...
Heaven is a bit brighter today ...
But the earth is missing a shining soul ...

Love and Peace.

I Heart My Nieces!

Meet my darling nieces, Tiffi and Jenna -
Showing off their delightful "pigtail braids" at church yesterday!!!

And look ... Jenna was wearing hearts on her socks!

Guest Heart Thursday #118

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

You may know Deann as "Grannie Annie" ...
If you love digital art, you should visit her blog, "The Whimsey Asylum".
Her work will inspire you.
Her sense of humor will make you giggle.
Her friendship will make you warm.

Thank you, Deann, for being my friend ... and for sharing your heart!

Jill has the best job in the world (according to me!). She is a field biologist, and travels the United States in search of nature.
And boy does she find it!!!

Jill's photography is exquisite, and you can find it - and more! - over at her wonderful blog, "Count Your Chicken! We're Taking Over!"

Thank you, Jill, for sharing your heart!

Pam is another wonderful friend, who captures the beauty of her world, which is near the ocean in Florida. Sigh.
When I need to relax at the ocean, or enjoy the peace of the natural world, I visit Pam. Her blog, "Nature Whispers" - whispers to my soul, and delights my heart.

Thank you, Pam, for being such a wonderful friend ... and for sharing your heart!

I found Rae by following a comment she left on Robert's "Daily Athens Photo" blog.

What I found was Rae's wonderful blog, "Perth and Other Places" - I love the beauty she finds in beautiful Australia - like this wonderful mural. If you enlarge the photo, you will even find hearts!!!

Thank you, Rae, for sharing Australia - and your heart!

Siga's blog, "My Canary Life" is a joy.
Her beautiful photos, along with the always-perfect quotes she usually adds, are spectacular - and make me long to visit her world for myself!!!

Thank you, Siga, for sharing your Island ... and your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!

Shopping Day Heart

I was putting away groceries ...
Plastic and paper bags were emptied and put into the pile to be recycled ...

That's when this heart appeared!

Guest Heart Thursday #117

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

Irene is on vacation right now ...
Somewhere a world away from me.

Laura sent me a link to Irene's blog - "Irene Photography", because she saw this heart Irene had posted. I was delighted to discover Irene's unique and beautiful photography. Her pictures tell such wonderful stories!

Thank you, Irene, for sharing your heart!
(Thank you again, Laura, for finding yet another beautiful heart!)

I was using a search engine to do some artistic research when I came across a thumbnail of a beautiful heart rock. I followed it home to "Dandelion and Daisy".

What I found  was an incredible mixed media artist - who has already inspired me!
Don't you just LOVE how she used a picture of the heart to make this amazing journal page???

Thank you, Dandelion and Daisy, for sharing your he'art'!

Have you ever visited Judy over at "Seeds 4 Thoughts"?
She shares so much there - I especially appreciate the information she shares about how to use nature's bounty to stay healthy. I often use her blog to do research.

I love her picture of this beautiful wood sorrel ... complete with heart-shaped leaves!

Thank you, Judy, for sharing your heart!

When I read the story behind this gorgeous ring, I was brought to tears.
This post shows more 'heart' than just the one on the ring.

To find out why this ring is a priceless treasure, visit "Rubbish by Roan".
And be ready for some happy smiles.
And maybe a tear or two.

Thank you, Roan, for sharing your heart!!!

I had to smile with Toni's predicament last week, the story she told on her blog, "Signature Gardens".

It had to do with grasshoppers.
And hearts.

It seems, if you must have pests that chew on plants in your garden, they should at least leave behind heart-shaped destruction!!!

Thank you, Toni, for sharing your garden - and your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!
