Guest Heart Thursday #64

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

Teri and her sister Gina have a special bond ... though they live far apart from each other, they are as close to each other as sisters can be.

Some time ago, Teri and Gina began to realize they were seeing hearts, which they called "Our Wild Hearts". This became their blog!

Teri is a professional photographer, and you can see her beautiful work by going to her photography blog - "Teri H. Hoover Photography".

Thank you Teri and Gina for sharing your sisterhood - and your hearts!

Robert is from Athens, Greece. I appreciate his blog, "Daily Athens", so much. He shows not only the beauty of his city, but the gritty reality as well.

Athens has been on the news lately, with unrest and demonstrations against the government. My heart goes out to this country.

Thank you, Robert, for sharing from your heart ... and for sharing your heart!

My niece Jenna (along with her parents and siblings!) spent a few days at our house. It was a special time we shared, most of it outside enjoying the beauty of the surrounding woods.

I was thrilled when Jenna came running up to me saying "Auntie Clytie! There's a HEART over here!"

Sure enough, a bit of leaf had become stuck to an old log - in the shape of a tiny heart!

Thank you, Jenna, for sharing your heart!

I love getting e-mails from Louis, who lives in the "back country of Southern California" ... I can just picture Louis kicked back on the deck, cool drink in hand, finding hearts in the rocks and roses (This faded rose that Louis sent is an old rose called "La Reine Victoria").

Louis has no blog, no Facebook, no Twitter ... only the beauty of the surrounding nature.
I think I'm a bit jealous!!!

Thank you, Louis, for sharing your "Faded Heart"!

Costas is from Greece ... and I can't go on enough about how much I love the photography he posts on his blog "Nature Digital". As always, I encourage you to visit his blog ... but don't just look at the pictures - click on them to enlarge. Magic, Costas, pure magic!

Costas' beautiful country of Greece is facing desperate times ...
My heart and prayers are with this country ...

Thank you, Costas, for sharing your hearts.

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Would you like to share your heart on Guest Heart Thursday?

Lichen heart

Yesterday's blurry feathery shadowy heart wasn't the only accidental heart that found it's way into my camera ... when I was trying to capture the beautiful little bird that was serenading me, I came across this striking lichen heart - in the same tree!

Blurry, feathery, shadowy heart

As I walked along in the woods, a little bird followed me ... flitting from tree to tree ... singing his little heart out. I finally saw him perched on a branch of an old tree, only to fly away the minute I clicked his picture.

I was about to delete the blurry shot, when I noticed the shadowy heart on his wing!

Guest Heart Thursday #63

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

I found Rick's blog "Found Hearts by Rick Ruggles" quite by accident last year, when I was surfing around the internet. I immediately felt a kindred spirit!

Rick is not only a published author (on the subject of what else? Found hearts!), but a very nice person, and a good friend.

Thank you, Rick, for sharing your hearts!

Tina's blog, "Leckeres für Mensch und Katze -
Goodies for a pleasant life"
, is another place I love to visit.

Tina is a wonderful photographer, who finds beauty and wonder in her world, and delights my soul with her work.

Do you see the hearts in this shot? They flank that gorgeous yellow door!!!

Thank you, Tina, for sharing your heart!

And I just had to feature this most amazing cloud heart submitted by JayLeigh over at "Pacific Northwest Nature for Families" ... JayLeigh's 6-year-old son saw this unusual cloud formation in the sky, and noticed what so many of us would have missed ... "the Statue of Liberty on a Heart!" To make this picture even more special, the photo itself was taken by JayLeigh's 10-year-old daughter!

Thank you, JayLeigh, for passing to the next generation a wonder and passion for nature ... for nurturing beautiful imaginations ... and for sharing the hearts your family finds!

"Al's Photography Blog" is another of my favorite places to visit. I especially love the pictures he takes in Colorado (like this view of an abandoned cabin - with graffiti heart) ... a place very close to my heart.

Al also hosts "Sunday Scans" - where anything scanned can be linked up and shared. This is one of my favorite memes ... I have started going through and scanning my old photos - and the memories make me laugh and cry.

Thank you, Al, for sharing your world ... for sharing wonderful memories ... and for sharing your heart!

Suzi was on a search for the lunar eclipse last week, but was thwarted by the clouds. Instead of being disappointed, she took some wonderful pictures of the sunset, and then found this stunning flame heart!

You can find Suzi at her blog "Spirit Whispers" - but be prepared to stay for a while ... because you too will be caught up in her wonderful nature photography ... and the beautiful way she sees her world!

Thank you, Suzi, for sharing your heart!

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Pacific Ninebark Heart

The Pacific Ninebark (Physocarpus capitatus) shares it's delicate blooms in late spring ...

This one also shares it's heart!

Dead Leaf After Rain

The rains came back yesterday - from a gentle mist to a pounding torrent.
We were shut inside, watching the puddles in the garden grow and spread.

Finally, right before sunset, a ray of light peeked through, and
for about 20 minutes, the sun shone brightly!

I grabbed my camera and ran outside.
A dying leaf, drenched with rain caught my eye ... silhouetted by the dying rays of the sun.

"Shadow Shot Sunday!" I cried, clicking away.

Then I looked at the shadows on the leaf. Right there, at the bottom ... do you see the shadow heart?

(If you have found a heart, be sure to link up with Guest Heart Thursday - the link is open from Thursday morning to Sunday night (US West Coast time) - We'd LOVE to see YOUR heart!)

Guest Heart Thursday #62

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

Judy is one of my favorite artists - her talent is awe inspiring, as you will see when you visit her over at "Judy Grupp Studio".

Judy has been sharing bits and pieces of her newest project - and I can't wait to see the whole finished piece!

Not just because it has so many hearts (which I love!) but because her art is so amazing!

Thank you, Judy, for sharing your hearts ... and your finished project - SOON!

Gayle is another artist that inspires me. Gayle specializes in Mixed Media, Rubber Stamping, Altered Art, Jewelry Design and Digital Art. And she is amazing!!! You can visit her at her blog "A Stamper's Touch".

Thank you, Gayle, for sharing your heart!

Jeannette caught this beautiful fountain mid-splash. If you look carefully at the top of the water, you will see a perfect heart!

Jeannette shares her photos and artwork on her blog "Mysteries". To see more of her stunning artwork, visit her "Art Notes" - and prepare to be amazed and inspired!

Thank you, Jeannette, for sharing your heart!

Darlene is another amazing artist. Her blog "A Dancing Mango" is a great inspiration to me.
Not only is Darlene a wonderful photographer, and a talented artist ... she is also one of the kindest and nicest people I've met in Blogland.

Thank you, Darlene, for sharing your art, and your heart!

Owen is also an artist (a fact which he has difficulty believing!!!). He captures the most amazing colors and patterns in his world, and shares them on his blog "Magic Lantern Show (Or ... Mr. Toad's Travel Diary)".

Owen writes about this beautiful heart ... "If you have been visiting this thoroughly obscure blog for any length of time, you will know by now how crazy I am about the beauty in decay; the fabulous subtleties to be found in rusting iron and fading paint."

Thank you, Mr. Toad, for sharing your ART, and your heart!

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Ammunition - with Heart!

Can you tell what kind of ammunition created this weird yet cute little heart?

It's okay if you can't ... I'm the one who found these in a puddle of water at the (formerly) abandoned church ... and I had to go touch them to be sure of what they were!!!

Okay, give up?

They are spent paintball casings from the paintball wars held here several weeks ago!
Who knew the casings would melt in water???
And make hearts?

Guest Heart Thursday #61

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

Sunny over at "Barnyards and Barnacles" finds the most interesting subjects - and photographs them beautifully. I love her sense of humor, and her unique way of showing us her wonderful world.

Thank you, Sunny, for brightening my life, and for sharing your heart!

Robert is amazing.
He shares his beautiful city of Athens on his blog "Daily Athens". But not only does Robert share the beauty of Athens, he also shares the everyday grittiness of life there as well - which I deeply appreciate.

Robert also hosts "Psalm Challenge" on Sundays, and I am looking forward to participating soon!

Thank you, Robert, for being amazing ... and for sharing your heart!

Louis sent these beautiful "Ballerina" roses to us from the back country of Southern California.
The picture is titled "Find a Heart" - do you accept the challenge?
How many hearts do you see?

Thank you, Louis, for sharing your hearts!

What can I say about Dani?
She is my soul sister!
We only met a short time ago, yet I feel I've known her a long time.
And she is AMAZING!

Dani is from Macedonia, currently going to school in China.
A whole world away from where I am, yet I can visit her anytime I want over at "Snow Flowers" and "A Lovely Home for Hearts". You should visit her too!

Thank you, Dani, for being a wonderful friend ... and for sharing your hearts!

One of my favorite kinds of hearts are the everyday hearts that seem to pop up out of nowhere, just waiting to be found.

Like the cute little worn hole heart that Inger-M found in her daughter's sock.
It's absolutely precious!

You can find Inger over at her wonderful blog "A Picture in Time".

Thank you, Inger, for sharing your delightful heart!

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Bee Sweet Heart

I found this cute little bee wing heart on a box of toys given to us by a friend.
Isn't it cute?

Paint Ball Splatter Heart

They sneaked into the abandoned church last weekend, and waged war.
Paintball war, that is!

Splattered remnants of their battles cover the floors and walls in pinks, yellows and blues.
And hearts.

Guest Heart Thursday #60

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

Susannah over at "Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds)" finds beauty in things most of us would overlook - like a couple of (possible) puffball mushrooms growing on an old log.

Do you see the hearts? There is one on each of the shrooms ...
Look carefully!

Thank you Susannah for being a huge inspiration in my life ... and for sharing your hearts!

I love visiting Perry's blog "My World" - his photography is wonderful!

Perry found this beautiful heart in the landscaping near his office.
I find myself wondering if someone planted the heart on purpose, or if they were aiming for a different shape entirely ... I love the thought of an accidental heart!

Thank you, Perry, for sharing your heart!

My brother and his kids were cleaning up Dad's pond, catching newts to re-release into the wild (they tend to eat the fish eggs, which makes Dad crazy!).

That's when he came running to the house, telling me to bring my camera -- because he had found an unusual heart.

Sure enough, one of the lily pad leaves was curled up ... into a heart!!!

Thank you, Bro, for sharing your heart!

Lyneen's blog has one of the best titles around - "I am Dreaming of Castles".
My imagination soars whenever I visit her there!

And look what Lyneen found floating high above her castle ...
A beautiful blue sky heart!

Thank you, Lyneen, for sharing your heart!

"Count Your Chicken! We're Taking Over!" is another favorite place for me to visit.
Jill has THE best job in the WORLD!!!
I am so jealous!
Once you visit her, you'll understand why I say this.

Jill took this picture of the moon on a cloudy night - she was surprised it turned out.
Well not only did it turn out, but look at that beautiful glowing heart she found just below the moon!

Thank you, Jill, for sharing your world ... and your heart!

One world. One people. One heart.

Watery Heart for Watery Wednesday

I was trying to catch the water dropping from the leaky roof of the abandoned church into the puddle below ...

And I caught a heart!!!

To see watery pictures from around the world, visit "Watery Wednesday" - and Get Your Eyes Wet!
