Ladybug Shows Her Heart - Again!
The ladybugs are out enjoying the few days of sun that we've seen so far this spring. Once again, I noticed that this beauty sports a darling heart on her back!!!
And THIS time she didn't fall off the leaf when I took her picture!
"Live Every Moment" hosts a photo challenge on Fridays ... this week's photo challenge is "vibrant colors". I am submitting this post in response to this week's challenge!

Heart in Puddle
I was frustrated with most of the pictures I took of this puddle.
I was trying to capture one of the bubbles created by the rain dropping heavily from the tree above ... most of the photos turned out blurry.
One of the pictures was clear, however ... and imagine my surprise when I found that it was the only one with a heart!!!
The sun is supposed to come out off and on today ... I think it's time for another walk!

Guest Heart Thursday #59
Cindy over at "The Crafty Frugalista" made this 'hearty' pancake for her son - and there is a beautiful story behind this recipe that will make you smile.
Cindy is a wonderful artist, who makes the most beautiful cards ... and when you visit her blog, be sure to congratulate her - she's being published in the June 1st edition of "Take Ten" Magazine! Congratulations, Cindy!
And thank you for sharing your heart!
Karen over at "Pixel Posts" brought tears to my eyes with this beautiful carnation. Do you see the heart in the center?
There is more to this flower than meets the eye, however ... as Karen writes ...
There is more to this flower than meets the eye, however ... as Karen writes ...
"May is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month in Canada. Every year the MS Carnation Campaign takes place in May to help raise funds and increase awareness. Carnations are sold on street corners, malls and other public spaces. The carnation is Canada's oldest and most recognized symbol of hope in the quest to end multiple sclerosis."
World wide, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects about 2.5 million people. Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world. Karen is one of those Canadians. MS lasts a lifetime, and there is no cure.
Thank you, Karen, for sharing your heart ...
And for reminding us all of the fight to find a cure for MS.

If you ever thought Arizona was dry and boring, then you need to visit Diane's blog, "Desert Colors" - she will change your mind with her beautiful photography, and her love of her world.
Diane found this Staghorn Cholla cactus flower during a nature walk ... Do you see the two hearts? (hint: one is red, the other yellow!)
Thank you, Diane, for making me love the desert ... and for sharing your heart!
I met Sara only recently - when she linked up with last week's GHT. When I visited her blog, "Sara's Fave Photos Blog", I was delighted!
I especially love these African violets. Look at all of those delicate pink hearts!!!
Thank you, Sara, for sharing your hearts!

Tree heart, upside down
This is one of the first tree hearts I ever found ... I posted it once a long time ago, but turned it over so it was right-side-up.
This is how I found it, though ... over at the abandoned church across the street.
It's still there, next to the driveway, waiting for someone else to discover the upside-down heart.

It has been fun following Tamara over at "Colorado Springs Daily Photo". I lived in Colorado Springs for 3 years, and they were some of the best years ever! I miss "The Springs", and Tamara's blog helps to ease that longing ...
Do you see the heart in this photo?
Hint: You have to think upside down!
Do you see it now?
Thank you, Tamara, for sharing your corner of Colorado ... and for sharing your heart!
Lois is also a member of the popular "City Daily Photo" team. Lois' blog "Tallahassee Daily Photo" is one of my favorite places to visit.
She found these sweet baby wrens in a nest made in a folding lawn chair!
And look at that guy at the bottom of the photo - with his heart-shaped mouth!
Thank you, Lois, for being a wonderful friend ... and for sharing your heart!
I recently discovered Jacob and Lois Anne over at "Florida Fotos" -
when Cheryl sent me a link to these wonderful lampposts - with their beautiful heart-shaped tops!
Thank you, Jacob and Lois Anne, for sharing your hearts ...
Thank you, Cheryl, for finding them!
Sissie Beth took this stunning photo last 4th of July in Independence, Oregon where we watch wonderful fireworks each year.
Do you see the tiny puff of a smoke heart?
You can see Beth's exquisite photos at "Expect the Unexpected" ... enjoy her wonderful artwork at "Beth's Artworx", or peruse her fantastic collection of cards at "The Best Hearts Are Crunchy". You can also find wonderful stories of hope at "Angel Stories" and learn about the abandoned church at "The Abandoned".
Thank you, Beth, for being my wonderful sissie ... and for sharing your hearts!
Jan over at "Murietta 365" posted this wonderful picture as a link to "Weekend Reflections" - which is is where I found and fell in love with this delicious egg heart!
Thank you, Jan, for sharing your breakfast ... and your heart!
One world. One people. One heart.
As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Heart Worn Away By the Sands of Time ...
A sandy heart, a windy beach, another lifetime.
Memories linger in my heart.
The sands of time have dulled the pain of loss,
Until the memories left are the good ones,
The ones worth etching onto a windswept beach ...
A lifetime ago.
Please come over to Al's "Sunday Scans", and share YOUR memories, your art, anything that can be scanned. We want you to show us YOUR old stuff (and your new stuff too!).

Marlendy over at "Marges8's Blog" usually features amazing and wonderful paper dolls that she collects ... I have enjoyed being introduced to an art form that I knew very little about!
Once in a while she posts a card ... like this cute Raggedy Ann and Andy pair.
I love their cute little hearts!
Thank you, Marlendy, for sharing your beautiful paper dolls ... and for sharing your heart as well!
One of the greatest inspirations in my photography has come from Susannah ... and her blog "Wanderin' Weeta with Waterfowl and Weeds" .
Susannah sees the tiny beauty in and around her world. When I say tiny, I mean TINY! The intricate patterns of an insect wing ... the translucent legs of a sea creature -- She sees beauty in things I would never have expected - until now!
Susannah posted this beautiful flower (bacopa sutera) ... a sure sign of Spring.
Do you see the tiny yellow heart in the center of the flower on the left? I do!
I also see hearts in the beautiful white petals!
Thank you, Susannah, for being a huge inspiration in my life ... and for sharing your hearts!
Cheryl holds a very special place in my heart. She has been with Random Hearts since the beginning, and has blessed my world with her humor, her wisdom, her friendship.
When I visit Cheryl's two blogs - "NOSTALGIA: Today and Yesterday", and "March to March", I come away knowing I have been visiting a good friend.
Thank you, Cheryl, for inspiring me, for making me giggle, and for sharing your heart!
Dani is my 'heart sister' - originally from Macedonia and now going to school in China.
My life is blessed because of Dani's friendship - and my world is a better place when I visit her blogs - "Snow Flowers" and "A Lovely Home for Hearts".
Thank you, Dani, for the special friend you have become ... and for sharing the hearts that find you in your world!
Michelle is a wonderful artist - full of inspiration, imagination and surprises. She takes ordinary things (and yes, TRASH!) and makes magic! Check out her blog, "Yesterday's Trash" - you'll see what I mean!
Like these plain ordinary pumps ... which in Michelle's hands have become magical ruby slippers!!! Complete with heart!
Thank you, Michelle, for being such an inspiration to me, and for sharing your heart!
One world. One people. One heart.
As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Dayton Hearts It's Children
Last Saturday I spent several hours wandering around the tiny town of Dayton, Oregon. The town was getting ready for it's annual "Cinco de Mayo" celebration, and the streets were full of vendors and people just out to have a good time, despite the wind and rain.
I found a rummage sale, and spent $4.95 of the $5 I had in my pocket ... I bought 2 gift bags (with hearts, of course!), 3 paperback books, 2 old watches, a heart cookie cutter, and a set of 4 shot glasses for my collection. What a haul!
Then I found this delightful sign near the primary school ...
We 'heart' our children.
Precious!!!

A Heart for Yolanda
I met Yolanda through her blog - "Giving it a shot" in early 2010.
She was several months into a project to post a photo a day.
On December 4, 2009, Yolanda was diagnosed with cancer.
The very same day that I was rushed to the ER with a moderate stroke.
We had an instant bond.
Yolanda's postings slowed down a bit due to chemo and radiation therapy taking their toll, and she hadn't posted since December 2010.
Yesterday, Yolanda's blog posted her last post. Her husband/best friend/soul mate wrote to let us know that she had lost her battle with cancer, and quietly slipped away on April 8, 2011.
I will miss you, Yolanda. Even though we never met in person ... you were an inspiration to me, and I kept you in my prayers.
I post this heart for you.
I hope where you are now ... you will know how much you are missed here ...

Guest Heart Thursday #56
Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!
Random Hearts wishes a Happy Mother's Day to all Moms out there!
Jann over at "Forever Jann" is from Texas. Can you tell? She recently posted a series of vintage Texas postcards. This one was my favorite!
Jann is a wonderful artist, and a good friend. When you visit her blog, you will be amazed at the memorabilia she uncovers!
Thank you, Jann, for sharing your big Texas Heart!
Teri's new blog "Our Wild Hearts" is up and running - this beautiful heart is one of her first posts.
To see her beautiful photography, you should also check out her main blog "Teri H. Hoover Photography".
Than you, Teri, for again sharing your wild hearts!
While Sunny over at "Barnyard and Barnacles" was waiting for her computer to be repaired, she went out looking for the flowers of May ... and look - she found a heart as well!
Thank you, Sunny, for sharing your heart!
Far away from me in Guatamala, Claudia of "@Claudia" posts delightful photos along with the history of her country and it's unique traditions and customs.
During Holy Week, these beautiful works of art are painstakingly made of sawdust and flowers on local streets and sidewalks - I am in awe of the amazing beauty of these temporary masterpieces!
Thank you, Claudia, for sharing your Guatemala ... and your heart!
Suzi over at "Spirit Whispers" recently hosted the "Festival of Trees". Her delightful story of friends and rescuers of the world's forests (including links to many beautiful lovers of trees!) is beautifully written, with equally delightful photos as accents.
It was perfect timing for Suzi to post this picture ... with the beautiful tree scar heart ... in celebration of trees!
Thank you, Suzi, for hosting this wonderful Festival ... and for sharing your heart!
One world. One people. One heart.
As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!
