Guest Heart Thursday #146

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

(Note: Our cold spell has broken at last, and I will be spending a whole lot more time visiting you, my friends - and catching up on what I've missed the past couple of weeks! Thank you so much for understanding - I hope you are all staying warm and happy!)

Perhaps you've seen them around YOUR town ...
Paper hearts hanging in stores and restaurants ...
Fund raisers for various charities -

I found paper hearts at my local market; and decided to do some research.

What I found was our local chapter of CCA (Children's Cancer Association).
And fell in love with their mission statement.

"We prescribe joy.

For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. At CCA, our goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible — with joy.

Why joy?

Because in the fight against devastating illness, joy is often forgotten. Because joy connects us with the power of hope, comfort, and happiness and helps families and children feel uplifted when their lives have been turned upside down. Because joy is something every child deserves."
In a break from "Guest Heart Thursday" tradition, I am issuing a challenge to you, the heart seekers of the world - to buy a heart - or make a donation to a charity local to your area, take a picture of your heart, and post it on your blog sometime in February!

Then link it up to Guest Heart Thursday!

It doesn't have to be today - there is still a lot more time!
Not only will you find a lovely heart to share ... but you will help to spread love and joy around the world - and help someone who needs it desperately in the process!

Until then, I can't wait to see the random hearts you've found in your world!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Would you like to share your heart on Guest Heart Thursday?
The rules are easy ...
There are none!!!
As long as your post includes a heart!
If you have found a heart (or drawn a heart, or designed a heart, or written a heart-felt poem, or just found something that touches your heart, or ...), please join us for Guest Heart Thursday. Just link the URL of your heart post to "Simply Linked"! It would be nice if you linked back to Random Hearts ... but it's okay not to ... we just want to see your hearts!
Simply Linked for Guest Heart Thursday is now open all week!

Have you found more than one heart?
Put in more than one link!
Is your heart from a long time ago?
It doesn't matter, as long as you put the direct URL to that post!

Good morning, Sissy! I think this is a great idea. I do miss seeing all the hearts which come your way--but I also love the idea of a challenge! (grin) I be heart hunting today. ((hugs))

I'm looking forward to seeing you later, my sweet SissyBoo.

Merry Christmas,Happy New Year, many blessings. Sorry I am not sharing my hearts very often. So many hearts, so little time? Joy - that sounds like a plan. Hope you are doing well- I think you sent that cold spell here to the east. xo

I love you challenge Clytie... I am not able to go out at this time, but whenever I can make a donation at a register when ringing up something I've purchased (like at petsmart, or buying something at homegoods or marshall's, the grocery store or wherever) I always add that extra dollar to the order to help others in need.

bless your gentle heart my friend for always being such a loving inspiration.
