Nativity Angel Heart

She has hung over the nativity since before I was born.
Proclaiming a heartful JOY!

Mom puts the nativity up shortly after Thanksgiving.
It has become a tradition to leave it up
Until the first flower of spring

Sometimes I find a single violet in January.
I bring it to her in a tiny vase, to grace her office table.

To remind us that spring does indeed follow winter.
That JOY is proclaimed year-round!

It's good for the heart.
And the soul.

I remember that angel--she is lovely, isn't she? I'm so glad she will be there until Springtime's violet blooms.

((hugs)) Makes me feel homesick for home.
