The Story Behind the Glass Shard Heart

I was stalking the abandoned and vandalized mega-church.
More windows had been broken since the day before.
I was determined to catch someone - and take their picture!

I had called the Sheriff about these vandals - children ... some as young as 8 years old ...
On the roof, breaking out the glass.
For weeks now.

As I carefully picked my way through the glass shards,
This one caught my eye.
What are the chances of a broken window shard ... being such a beautiful heart?

Suddenly - voices!
Loud angry voices!
I snuck around the corner ...

Snicker.

I guess my multiple calls to the Sheriff have been answered.

I feel much better now.

(guffaw) I have to comment on that first one--I'm SO glad the little turds were apprehended. And these are the bigger of the batches of kids haunting the building, eh? (grin)

Now about that heart--I'm just SO enamored with this picture. It is BEAUTIFUL. It fills my eyes, Sissy.

It is just so elegant--beautiful enough to be enhanced to put around some beauty queen's neck as a lovely, graceful and elegant necklace.

I went back today and found the shard. It is sitting next to my keyboard right now. I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but it is too special to leave to the vandals.

That IS a lovely heart. Good for you snagging it and those nasty criminals. I have to say I love your soul...and your sole on the previous post too

That is heart mountain the bottom picture backdrop the rest of them are her sisters...and you are right there are hearts galore around here.

Have a very happy Monday Cea! Love you.

P.S. I read your comment...Why don't you make and altered art box or tin like Becky did on Whymsical Musings. You could even display several hearts in it and hang it on the wall.

Perhaps the glass heart is a tiny reward for helping apprehend the culprits!
