Salal Leaf Shadow Heart

The sun came out yesterday ... and for the first time in a long time I could go out and look for shadow shots!

I found this salal bush, still drenched from the rain.

But something about this bush was different ...

Salal bushes have long slender leaves that come to a soft POINT ... not a HEART!

To see shadows from around the world, please join us for Shadow Shot Sunday!

This almost looks like a clover leaf! I thought it was at first. Well, I think that leaf just grew that way because it knew you were near. Your back was turned, it knew you were going to turn--and it grew a heart for you.

I'm just sure that is what happened. This fills my eyes, Sissy!
