Guest Heart Thursday #25

Robert found these beautiful hearts during a seaside walk.

Robert's blog, Daily Athens, is a joy to me. He takes wonderful pictures of his city ... but he also is a gifted poet who frequently makes me stop and think. Sometimes his words are so beautiful they bring tears to my eyes.

Thank you so much, ρομπερτ, for sharing your heart.

Jeannette over at Castle St. Germaine is an exceptional artist.
Her paintings are brilliant!

And her dessert ... well, it was brilliant too - because she found these gorgeous hearts!

Thank you, Jeannette, for brightening the world with your art ... and for sharing your hearts!

Dorothy is retired, with two blogs. One features her crafts (Coffeedoff Crafting), the other her photos (Coffeedoff's Coffee Break).
She actively participates in memes - and I'm so glad she found her way to Guest Heart Thursday with this wonderful potato heart!

Thank you, Dorothy, for sharing this wonderful potato ... er, heart!
I hope you baked it and (oh I just can't resist) 'ate your heart out' ??? !!!

Viridian, over at Viridian's Blog absolutely amazed me with this beautiful rock heart.
I've found rock hearts before ... but never one so PERFECT!

Please check out her blog. She is starting a life journey that inspires me.
She may just inspire you as well.

Thank you for sharing your heart, my friend.
Good luck on your quest.

Pearmama is a beautiful artist who has a way with words that makes me laugh. Whenever I am feeling down, I head on over to her blog, Pearmama's World, to enjoy her delightful way of looking at her world.

She made these gorgeous shoes for her niece's birthday. Her talent is awesome, as you can see!

Thank you, Pearmama, for sharing your world in such an incredibly honest way ... and for sharing your heart.

Burned Paper Heart

The teenaged vandals at the abandoned mega-church have found something new ... they light fires. They have started so many that the Fire Department has stopped showing up! They refuse to go in the building because it's not safe.

The church left a lot of paperwork, fodder for the illicit flames.

In the loading dock, where most of the fires are concentrated, I found several piles of partially burned paper.

On one of them was a burned heart!

Teabag Heart

Mom was making a cup of mint tea ...
When - oops! - the little tag fell in.
All was not lost, though ...
It became a heart!

A Hoot, er, a Heart!

I learned something yesterday that I had never known before ...
Or maybe I had just never noticed before ...

Barn owls have heart-shaped faces!

I caught this juvenile owl staring at me from the rafters of the abandoned church ... after the full grown parent with it exploded out of the niche they had under the ceiling tiles and flew out the broken windows. Once my heart started again ... well, this is what I found.

I just love his little heart face!
Don't you?

Mika's Heart

Mika-Mia was snoozing in the recliner ...
She likes to do that.
I have to smile when people come in the room, and sit on less comfortable chairs, so as not to disturb her. Smile.

She tucked her head up to her paw ...
And created a heart.
What a sweetie.
I adore her.
My kitty, my friend, my foot warmer, my confidant.
My Mika ... My heart.

Guest Heart Thursday #24

Grannie Annie's talent in mixed media and collage art amazes me.
She has become a true friend.
A sister even.

She posted this autumn collage that she created (see, I TOLD you she is amazingly talented!) on her blog The Whimsey Asylum.
I don't think she noticed the two pumpkin hearts.

Thank you, Sissie-Dea, for sharing your beautiful talent and hearts!

Jay Leigh's Pacific Northwest Nature For Families blog is awesome.
She sees so much.
But not only does she see the beauty of nature around her ...
She shares it with us all!

When she visited the fair ... look what she found!
A pig with hearts!

Thank you so much, Jay Leigh, for sharing your hearts.

I adore the name of Lyneen's blog ... I Am Dreaming of Castles.
Lyneen is a very talented artist, who not only makes beauty in her own art, but inspires others to create beauty as well.
I know she inspires me!
I was enjoying her older posts, when I found this heart.
On a set of stamps from Stampin'D Amour.
But be sure to visit her blog to see the other hearts she has found.

Thank you, Lyneen, for sharing your hearts

Cheryl is halfway through her year-long challenge ... March to March.
One of her posts was this beautiful "Kissing Clouds Heart".

Cheryl, I've said it before and I will say it again -- but I can never say how much I appreciate you. I can only hope you never get tired of hearing it!

Thank you for sharing your year ... and your hearts.

Carole over at Noteworthy Musings found this amazing recycled art at a show this past spring. I don't think she realized ...

One of these yard ornaments ... is a heart!

Thank you, Carole, for sharing these beautiful ornaments ... and for this amazing heart.

My Favorite Madrone

Pacific Madrone (Arbutus menziesii)

One of my favorite trees ... their red curling bark, smooth green leaves, and delicate spring blossoms somehow spark my imagination.

When I looked closer, I noticed another reason this tree fascinates me ...
Do you see the heart?

Fall Leaf Makes Spiderweb Heart

I woke up to a misty morning ... a break from the rain.
For the first time, the feel of Autumn was in the air ...

As I watched, a single leaf fell from the hazelnut tree and
spiraled down.

And was caught by a misty jewel-encrusted spider web.

Making a heart in the process!

Guest Heart Thursday #23

Sunny at Barnyards and Barnacles found this gorgeous white flower, but wasn't sure it qualified as a heart ...

Sunny! It's a HEART!
A beautiful heart of dripping white flowers!

Thank you so much for sharing it, Sunny!

I can't say enough how Susannah of Wanderin' Weeta inspires me. She sees the amazing, and the tiny life around her, as well as the unusual and different.

Thank you, Susannah, for sharing your heart ...
And your world ...
And your inspiration!

And look what Dani found on her breakfast pancake. A heart!
Dani has a new blog, A Lovely Home For Hearts.
I LOVE it!!!

Thank you, Dani, for sharing this heart.
And for being a heart seeker.

Jann of Bouquet of Tulle Roses celebrated a special event this week.
Her 20th Anniversary!
Check out this wonderful picture of Jann and Mr. Tulle Roses.

You see ... hearts are everywhere.
But mostly they are INSIDE our OWN hearts ...
Full of love and commitment.

Thank you, Jann, my wonderful beach-buddy friend, for sharing your heart.
Happy Anniversary!

If you want to find unexpected surprise and joy, check out Beth's Expect the Unexpected blog. She sees with the eyes and soul of a true artist ... and shares what her camera finds. Unexpectedly.

Bus Stop Heart

Life isn't about taking shelter from the storm.
Life is learning to love dancing in the rain.

Guest Heart Thursday #22

It has been raining here off and on for the past week.
Not the best BBQ weather.
My brother, Darren, is the BBQ King - rain was not stopping him!
As the grill got hot and dried off, he called me over.
To see the heart he had found!

Thank you, bro, for sharing this heart!

One of my favorite flower hearts comes from Squirrel Queen. Her blog, Through Squirrel Eyes, is one of my favorite places to visit.
Can you believe she found this gorgeous golden glowing heart in her own garden?

Thank you, SQ, for sharing this gorgeous heart.

I have featured Jill's squirrel eating m&m heart before.
But I felt it needed to be shown again -
How can anyone resist such an adorable little critter?

Jill is a field biologist, who has to have THE best job on the face of the planet.
Check out her blog, "Count Your Chicken, We're Taking Over" if you don't believe me!

Thank you, Jill, for sharing this amazing heart - again.

Jay Leigh over at Pacific Northwest Nature For Families is amazing.
She is a homeschooler, and she and her kids have made Guest Heart part of her life in a way that gives me goosebumps - she takes her kids out looking for hearts - as a nature lesson.
Jay Leigh, I admire you!

Thank you so much for sharing your heart!
And your life with us.

And I absolutely LOVE the way Bhavesh Chhatbar of Chaukhat.com found the heart in this banana peel. Bhavesh is best known for Wednesday Wallpaper, where he provides some of his AMAZING photographs as computer wallpaper.

Thank you, Bhavesh (and Megha!), for sharing your heart!

Freeway Heart

Shuffled about by construction detours, I found myself on a freeway frontage road.
That's Interstate 5 Southbound in the background.
Do you see the heart in this shot?

I quickly pulled over onto a small gravel area, and hiked back to see if I truly had seen a heart here. In a construction zone. Next to a VERY busy freeway.

Yes!!!!!!!

Hanging Glass Heart

I found this heart over at the abandoned mega-church.
I was actually surprised to find ANY glass left in these windows!
Let alone this heart - hanging by a strip of window tint - reflecting and refracting the filtered sunlight ...

To see reflections from around the world, visit James at Newtown Area Photo - and join us for Weekend Reflections.

Guest Heart Thursday #21

Claudia was at work the other day, not expecting to find a heart - but when she looked down at her phone cord, look what she found! Of all random patterns that cord could have made - it was a heart!

Claudia lives in Guatemala. Right now it is winter there, with three more months of 'rainy season' expected.

Her blog, @ claudia's, is full of delightful pictures and history of Guatemala that I find absolutely fascinating.

Thank you, Claudia, for sharing your heart!

My sister Beth is the Cloud Queen. The heavens open up to her, and give her the most amazing sights. Thanks to her and her amazing blog, Expect the Unexpected, I have learned to 'look up' as well as 'look around'. I too now find the most unexpected things - by looking up!

Beth has a new blog, Geometrics - just started yesterday. It's all about shapes found in nature. Be sure to check it out, and be one of the first Followers on this amazing journey of shapes. Of course you can't be THE first, because that's ME!

Thank you, sissie, for sharing your heart!

I never realized sweet potatoes were so 'hearty'. But Cheryl, over at March to March knew all along! Look at all of these delicious hearts she found!

She also found that rhubarb leaves have heart. But that's another story!

Thank you, Cheryl, for sharing your hearts.

And speaking of DELICIOUS hearts, look what Lani at Taipei: A Daily Photo found on her ice cream. Yummy!

If you haven't discovered Lani's wonderful blog, then you must do so soon.
She has been finding the most wonderful hearts!

Thank you so much, Lani, for sharing your hearts.

I love honey.
I especially love the honey of a heart that Limar at From My Replicator found in her cup.
Isn't it gorgeous?

Be sure to check out Limar's blog - it's so much fun!

Thank you, Limar, for sharing your delicious heart!
