At the Heart of the Compost ...
I was emptying some dead produce from Gleaners into the compost bin when I had to look twice ... an unknown critter was so creative that it decorated this summer squash with a beautiful heart!
How special, wonder what critter did that? We've got a squirrel that's been trying to open this one pumpkin our Granddaughter set on the patio. I'll have to take another look, but I don't think he's creative like your critter.
"Though life may try to trodden, flatten and change us, our Heart and Soul remains!"
Why hearts?
Because random hearts are everywhere! In nature, in coffee, in piles of trash. In fact, finding hearts is very addictive. The more you find, the more you see. I hope you come to the place where you can't help but notice the hearts of YOUR world!
As life changes, I find myself far from what my dreams had imagined. Reality has found me caring for my elderly mom who is sliding deeper into Alzheimers ... every day has become a unique challenge. The best I can do is to try to life as normal as possible for those around me.

I agree with Lois.
Great heart, Clytie.

I think the critter must have known the Queen of Hearts was near and created this beauty just for you--there's just no other explanation.
Done by a secret admirer? Or maybe a not-so-secret admirer? Very clever and well done, Clytie.
