Working for Heart

Last winter was hard.
Dad needed a constant fire; wood was scarce.
(Our house is old, with only the fireplace to keep it warm. Dad is 86 this year, and is always cold).
Last month, my neighbor went to work driving for a pallet company.
Instead of sending their scrap wood to the dump, they have been cutting it up, storing it in wooden boxes, and delivering it to us.
I have spent hours and hours sorting and stacking ...

It will all be worth it this winter, when I need to keep a fire going ...
Dad will finally be warm.

It kind of warms the heart, doesn't it???

Oh, my GOODNESS! You have done a TON of work, Sissy. Wow! That is so great--and I love that wooden heart at the end there--and it DOES warm the heart.
