Oak Burl
I love to find burls ... they have the most amazing designs. This one is at the foot of an old oak tree near our house. The heart is just an added bonus of beauty.
Burled wood is so beautiful, just another wonder of nature. How nice that this one held a heart for you. If I don't get the chance again have a very festive and happy 4th of July.
Okay so I'm going to have to bean my son Joe!! He flies home on the weekends and contramands my computer...The comment above is really from your long lost demented cyber sibling. love ya!
"Though life may try to trodden, flatten and change us, our Heart and Soul remains!"
Why hearts?
Because random hearts are everywhere! In nature, in coffee, in piles of trash. In fact, finding hearts is very addictive. The more you find, the more you see. I hope you come to the place where you can't help but notice the hearts of YOUR world!
As life changes, I find myself far from what my dreams had imagined. Reality has found me caring for my elderly mom who is sliding deeper into Alzheimers ... every day has become a unique challenge. The best I can do is to try to life as normal as possible for those around me.

I love oak trees. That is something that are rare up here. I grew up with them and they are obvious friends!
