Hello, Heart Lovers!  This is Beth, Clytie's big Sis, filling in for the Queen of Hearts once again.  Sissy is doing great--but their internet has been out since Tuesday.  Hopefully she will be back online sometime tomorrow.

The funny thing is, as I was talking to her on the phone, I spotted a moth on the outside of our house.  As I drew closer--lo, the moth had hearts on its wings!

Still on the phone with Clytie, I ran inside, grabbed my camera and took this picture.  Such a perfect picture for GHT--I'm certain the hearts appeared because I was talking to Clytie.  She's magic!

Thank you, sissie Beth, for posting Guest Heart Thursday for the past couple of weeks while I was unable to function. I appreciate you more than I can say!

My heart has been warmed by the thoughts, prayers, and comments sent my way from Blogland.

They are working.

I am humbled by so much love from my heart-family! I know so many of you are suffering from chronic pain yourselves, and I am in awe at how you have drawn me into your love.

My back/shoulder/arm is better, and my doctor says I can go back to light duty, and even spend a few minutes on the computer each day ... unless my hand goes numb again.

With that in mind, I must keep my ramblings short.

I look forward to getting better soon - and being able to take more time to visit all my friends and family in Blogland!

Let the heart search begin (again)!!!

Hello again, friends.  This is big sister Beth posting for Clytie.  She is still not feeling well.  I would appreciate your prayers for healing in her neck and arm.  She is in a lot of pain.  It is not easy to watch my sweet Sis suffer.

So, I went on a heart search and found a wonderful website, Slow Mom.  The last entry was a heart scavenger hunt.  Below is a sampling of the wonderful hearts I saw.

Good morning heart lovers!  This is Clytie's sister, Beth. I'm posting for her today because Sissy has a pinched nerve in her neck, which is causing her terrible pain in not only her neck, but her arm and fingers.  She is experiencing numbness and can't sit at the computer for any more than a few moments at a time.

Please pray for her quick recovery.  She went to the doctor yesterday, and she says, with the anti-inflammatory, that she's feeling a little better--but it will be a long process.

Last week, Sissy, the twins and I went to the beach.  Ah, what fun we had.  Sissy and I both caught this little girl running across the sands toward the ocean.  I believe this was her first glimpse of the sea.  If you look closely, you can see the sand is full of hearts.

The beach was beautiful--with fantastic clouds and balmy temperatures.

Of course, walking on the beach with Sissy means hearts just magically appear!

Have a lovely day everyone--thank you for your prayers for Clytie's quick recovery.  She is so dear to me and to so many--a great encourager and laughter maker.  My sweet Friend for life--and yours too!

I am now late for work, and must run. There are no excuses; I simply lost track of time.

I've long admired "Johnny Nutcase" over at "Count Your Chicken! We're Taking Over!".

And not just because of the incredibly awesome name of her blog.

Oh no, that's just the beginning.

You see, "Johnny Nutcase" is in reality Jill of "Jill Wussow Photography".

Jill is a self-described "nomadic field biologist", whose photographs will take your breath away ... and whose job description will make you turn green with envy.

And she's cute and funny too!!!

P.S. - Do you see the heart in this baby bird shot? It's in the feathers right between the eyes of this adorable little guy!

I had to make a quick run into the store the other day - mom decided to wait in the car. When I came back outside and put my stuff away, mom excitedly asked me if I had my camera ... and told me to look up in the tree I had just parked in front of.

Sure enough, there was a beautiful mossy heart!

My sisters are, and have always been, a hugely wonderful part of my life.
Sadly, I don't get to see them enough!

My sissie Beth has the privilege of spending one day a week with our delightful niece - while her mom, my sissie Leigh (AKA Honey) is at work. Part of their day includes going for a walk ... only it's not just "a walk" - it is a heart hunt!

They find the most amazing hearts together ... and I am envious.

I found this graffiti on a fence in a nature park area. I was saddened to see it - I don't get the point of ruining somebody elses property. I would much rather find a heart MADE by nature!

A NOTE for all of my wonderful heart friends ...
I thank you for all of the kind words, prayers and thoughts that have come my way this past several weeks. On a good note - My computer is healed!
My health issue, however, isn't so easily fixed. Knowing what is wrong, and knowing how to fix it are two very opposite concepts. I have good days and bad days. Learning what I can and can't eat is truly a LEARNING experience. I did fine yesterday until I ate a bit of onion with dinner, and had one of the worst "episodes" ever. But now I know I can't eat onions!

I haven't been able to visit you, my friends, as much as I want to ... and I truly miss you. I am working on being able to spend more time up and about, and I hope to catch up soon!

Fanno Creek Reflections and Heart

I walked along the banks of Fanno Creek, searching for signs of spring ... I found a creek which carries the scars from the ravages of wintertime floods ...

Debris caught in trees and shrubs give mute testimony to the fact that this is an urban park, smack in the middle of a fairly large city ...

A splash of white caught my eye ...

An egret!

Then I saw ... a broken heart.

Even though winter has not loosened it's grip ... there is still beauty to be found here.
